Immerse yourself in various creative techniques, weather you are an experienced artist or are just starting out to discover the art world.
In the inspiring environment of Teresa’s studio, you will be taken on a journey through illustration, collage, painting, oil pastel, drawing, and sketchbook exploration. Each session will be an invitation to experiment, combining shapes and colours in an intuitive way, allowing each participant to develop their own style while expanding their artistic repertoire.
In addition to the ART LAB activities in the studio, there will be immersive experiences that capture the spirit of the city of Porto. Participants will have access to private tours of iconic locations, discovering inspiring corners and local stories. You will visit historic shops, authentic treasures of the city, which evoke the charm of the past while revealing new creative perspectives, with an itinerary made just for the participants of ART LAB.
To complete the experience, some meals and organic infusions tastings are planned, enriching the event with moments of relaxation and sharing. These activities offer an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas and inspiration, creating a connection between art, culture, and the authenticity of the city of Porto. It is an opportunity to develop artistic techniques in an enriching and multisensory context, where creativity is combined with discovery.
Hi everyone, my name is Teresa Rego.
I am a professional illustrator creating colourful and bold illustrations inspired by nature and urban landscapes.
After graduating from a Master Degree in Architecture in Portugal in 2014, I moved to London to pursue my passion for illustration. I graduated at University of Arts London, Camberwell College of Arts, with a Master Degree in illustration in 2018.
I have opened my own studio and shop in Porto in 2019, and since then. I have been collaborating with a variety of international brands such as Prada, LG, Vans, Clinique, Esthederm, Happy Planner, Hendricks, Tous, just to name a few.
You can find my illustrations in shops like John Lewis, Target and TK Maxx.
I want to share my love for illustration, and share some of the techniques I usually use when creating an illustration from scratch, while finding inspiration in the city where I live.
In my work, organic forms meet bold, structured elements, capturing the harmony between the wildness of nature and the order of city life, with rich textures and striking color contrasts.
I will open the doors to my own studio, where everything happens, so you too can experience the true energy of creating something original from the beggining.
Located between Boavista and the historical center of the city, the Baumhaus is a 19th century bourgeois house offering an exclusive collection of nine fully renovated private apartments.
Inspired by 9 Portuguese artists, all the details of the apartments were thought to the smallest detail, attributing them their own personality and character. From the pine floors to the baroque ceilings, each suite is a true reflection of elegance and contemporaneity. As an extension of the apartments, you will be surprised by a large and well-kept garden in the center of the city. A century-old cedar, fruit plants, a lawn and the various corners of our garden will make your experience in the city even more memorable.
The Baumhaus is a special House, where art, history and modern design come together to create a unique and unforgettable experience.
Tuesday is the day we will be waiting for your arrival, and we will have the chance to get to know each other in an included welcome dinner. This will be at your stay Baumhaus, a bourgeois and artistic house located right between the studio and city center.
You will start the day the best way possible, with our very first ART LAB! The first session will be focused on collage and sketchbook, exploring shapes and intuitive drawing with scissors. After a very creative morning you will indulge yourself in a private tour through one of the most beautiful historic buildings in Porto outside and inside, the Lello bookshop, that exists since 1840. After this you will visit a very well know Portuguese tile brand, visiting their showroom with a variety of Tiles designs for you to feel inspired for your next Art LAB. Last but not least, We will have an organic infusions tasting session from a local Portuguese brand that supports small organic farms and fights food waste, all accompanied with some portuguese pastry treats.
Our day starts with the second Art Lab, now with some inspiration from Porto. a stamp and textures sessions where you can create a pattern or an illustration with different colours and textures. You will learn to transform your ideas into new approaches and develop different representation techniques.
After your lunch break, you will hop on your second Tour, this time we need to take transport to a place where all the magic happens and art supplies are created from scratch, it’s the only pencil factory in Portugal and has more than 100 years of existence.
Start the day in the Studio for the 3rd session of Art Lab. You will be guided in a journey of Floral Art and still Life Representations, using oil pastel that gives an amazing texture and authenticity to artworks. You can also combine previous techniques that you learned on previous sessions if you wish to.
You will have the free afternoon to wonder in Porto and discover more about this wonderful city with so much to uncover. We will give you a few tips so you can explore on your own.
We will share one last morning in the studio looking back at all the work we created and sharing our experiences, knowledges and Expectations, looking back at each others work.
We will gather in our last lunch of this Art Lab, and hope you continue your artistic journey in the future!

Absolutely! All ART LABS activities are for all levels of experience and we will work together to make sure you make the most of this experience;
During the 3 Art Labs you will try painting, drawing, collage, carving stamps, and more. This will be focused on handmade techniques, how to combine them and use them in a creative environment and generate original artworks from this techniques.
If you wish to cancel 10 days after booking, 100% will be refunded. After this period no refunds will be issued.
You can easily take a metro diretly from the airport to the city center, a taxi or an uber. If you need more details we are happy to send it over to you.
There is only one airport in Porto- Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro
Porto is a city near the river and the ocean, so sometimes you get a nice breeze.
May is the perfect month to visit Porto with temperatures between 16ºC to 27ºC. If you are applying of August, its is also a great time to visit and the weather is usually warmer and it can reach 35ºC
Porto is a small city so you will get the most of it if you visit it on foot. Bring confortable shoes since you will be doing some walking on all your tours.
You can easily get to a lot of places by metro or bus.
You will receive a list of Art supplies for the Art Labs, in case you want to bring your own, but you will also have a variety of materials at your disposal so no worries!
